Every American History unit is written to the student. Students will use the Smithsonian American History book along with other books specific to the time period to learn about significant events in our history.
In this exciting unit about the Civil War, you will read books, hide a message in bread like a spy, learn about a famous person and much more. You will create a character and try to stay alive as you participate in the major events of the war.
In this Unit Study you will learn about the American Wild West. You will learn about the different groups of people who settled the land or passed over it on the way to something different. You will read the stories of everyday settlers and see the kind of strength it took to live on the Great Plains.
Learn about The Great War from the perspective of America. You will read books, learn stories, listen to music and paint a field of poppies as you learn about the sacrifices Americans made.
This unit covers the period of decadence that led to the period of depression. You will read books, participate in simulations, listen to music, and examine primary sources to discover what life was like during this time.
